The Stanthorpe community garden is opened to all and gives residents and visitors the opportunity to learn how to grow fruit and vegetables in our four seasons climate. Visitors are always welcome. The Community garden is part of the Whistle Stop Heritage and Community garden.

Where to find us: Stanthorpe Railway station. The entry to the garden is on Tyrel street.

Working Bees: The Group meets at the garden on Wednesday morning from 9am to 1pm in winter and 8am to 12pm in summer.

Freshly picked vegetables, plants and worm juice are on sale every Wednesday and Thursday mornings.

Members decide what to plant. There is always work to be done, from planting to weeding to seed collecting and watering.

The garden could appeal to anyone who doesn’t have a garden or wants to garden with other people. Here is a great place to meet new people and contribute.  As well as gardeners, we also need people who can build things, cook and prepare food, write articles and maintain machinery. Joining the Community Garden is completely free, just come and have a try!
