We are an empowering and fun community group that works with households, community organisations, schools and businesses to establish edible gardens. We run gardening cooking workshops at Learner Kitchen Garden, which includes a chook house, aquaponics system, various composting displays and nursery.

Shoestring Gardening started out from a community meeting with the Neighbourhood Renewal program back in 2009 and has since been taking small but measured steps to grow its reach. It is now a leading organisation in the delivery of food growing education and major collaborator for all things sustainable in Wyndham.
Shoestring Gardening is an Open Garden for you or your group to come and explore. This demonstration or learner garden is open each week, aside from summer break and public holidays, on Wednesdays between 10am – 4pm.
Shoestring Gardening volunteers prepare a Shared Lunch using produce from the garden. Group bookings welcome and the garden can be opened at other times by arrangement.
