Are you interested in growing and sharing food, building community, making new friends, learning new skills, being more sustainable in your life? Then the Mid Mountains Community Gardens is the community group for you!

Every Saturday mornings 9am – 12 noon everyone is welcome and invited to come and do some gardening with other members of the community. We are always looking for volunteers too!

Regular gardening days are the lifeblood of the garden where everyone is welcome to come and participate in the scheduled activities for the day.

Seasonal planting and harvesting

  • Regular maintenance like weeding, watering, mulching.
  • Composting – bays have been constructed for filling and turning
Construction of garden beds, compost bays, paths etc.

Each day is coordinated by one of the garden committees who will help organise activities and check members and volunteers are ‘signed in’ (for insurance purposes) and provide a welcome and induction to new members.

Mid Mountains Community Garden is located in the grounds of Kihilla on Queens Road, Lawson. The garden is run by local volunteers who enjoy growing food and striving to live a sustainable and community based lifestyle. Supported by Belong Blue Mountains.
