Derwent Valley Community House operates an amazing Community Garden, enjoying the produce that we grow at our community meals. Open Monday to Friday….come down any day!

There is also an Honesty Box at the shipping container if you wish to buy produce out of hours.

The Community Garden beside the Lachlan River is looking incredible and producing so much wonderful food that we provide mostly for free to the Community, come and pick up some organic produce from the Community House.

Even better if you want to get involved in growing and learning how to grow fresh, nutritious foods come along on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:30am and join in.

We have a lot of fun and of course, there’s a lot of tasty food.

We love Community Gardeners!!

I love to garden and share the joy of food growing with others. Community gardens are great places to meet like-minded people who care for the earth and have a love of the natural world. I express this through teaching permaculture, both locally and overseas through school programs, TAFE, university and community workshops. We are living in interesting times and the time to start growing your own food is now. Our health, and the health of the planet benefits through local food growing systems by creating local resilient communities.
